Ballers And Wankstas Of The Week- Week 6

The Ballers balled. The Wankstas played. The difference is that the Wankstas didn’t get it done and the Ballers did. Without further adieu, here is the Player Of The Week!

Ballers Of The Week

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers(17/20, 310 yards, 3TDs and 1 INT)
The Surgeon was at it again. The Rams got to feel his wrath as he passed and made the Rams defense look silly.

Frank Gore, RB, San Franciso 49ers (15 carries, 141 yards, 1 TD)
Gore played hard and played well. He was the engine for the 49er offense Sunday. Seems like the 49ers are on their way back.

WR Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles (5 reception, 105 yards)
Maclin is proving more and more each week that he is the most consistent player for the Eagles receiving corps. I personally think he’s more consistent and dangerous than DeSean Jackson.

Cincinnati Bengals
Who had the Bengals winning 4 games this quick? I won’t raise my hand and I bet most of America would not have had them at 4-2 so far. I’m still shocked and trying to figure out how in the world they are 4-2. Props to Marvin Lewis for the job he’s doing so far.

Wankstas Of The Week

Rex Grossman, QB, Washington Redskins (9/22, 143 yards, 4 INT)
Grossman became the Grossman of old on this past Sunday. I don’t think he could have hit any WR in the game if they were wide-open. Good news is he hit Kurt Coleman for some big plays. Bad news is they were big plays for the Eagles because Coleman is a DB for the Eagles.

Jahvid Best, RB, Detroit Lions (12 carries, 37 yards, 0 TDs)
Best was not at his best on Sunday. In fact, despite on good start of the season, the Lions running game has been non-existent for the most part. In order for them to be the team they think they can be, the running game has to get going and that starts with Best.

Josh Cribbs, WR, Cleveland Browns (2 receptions, 30 yards. 0 TDs)
Cribbs may have well stayed in his crib yesterday. Maybe he’s a victim of less opportunities to make plays, but either way, he is the most dangerous weapon on this team and I expect more from him.

Miami Dolphins
It seems to me that the Little Tuna’s time is coming to an end. His team looked very bad. Injuries or not, they got dominated by an offensively-challenged Jets team that also has an issue stopping the run. The Sporano Watch is on.

These are my Ballers and Wankstas of the Week! Feel free to drop a comment if you feel a Baller or Wansktas was left off the list.

I’d like to add Devin Hester to the ballers list and add the Vikings and Colts to the wankstas list

  3. I’ll definitely be surprised if John Beck doesn’t get the start for Washington next week. No matter what Santana Moss thinks. Also, Devin Hester, unbelievable. That is all.
